Remembrance
This is a poem I wrote in Leon's POV. It won't be featured in any book of mine, but I wrote it for fun.
Remembrance
By: Emily Grace
Memories fade
But never fully disappear
Falling once again
Water enters my mouth
My lungs
But I hesitate
My heart races
Yet I grow still
Allowing mother nature to decide my fate
Her voice breaks through
It brings forth the realization of what I'd be missing
If I were to suddenly vanish
Without warning and without a proper goodbye
With many regrets and little successes
Legs moving
Arms flailing
My head emerges
Just long enough to alert someone nearby
Surely saved
I take a breath
Remembering all that I've endured
And all that I have left to live for
